Assessing availability and demand

Sumey coordinates a network of childcare centres that use Resource Seeker to locate and book relief staff.

Childcare workers register their details on Resource Seeker, and staff from Sumey's network search the system to find available workers for specific dates.

Sumey wishes to monitor demand and availability of relief workers. As the network coordinator Sumey she uses Resource Seeker's reporting function to get a picture of overall activity.

She generates statistics on the number of days relief workers have been available in the last six months. She also runs a report on the availability of workers with different specialisations (eg languages other than English or special needs experience).

To determine demand in her network, Sumey checks how often each worker has been booked over the period.
